I live on a lifestyle block at Te Kowhai, a small rural village northwest of Hamilton, with my partner Tony, an alpaca, a small herd of purebred angora goats, and our burmese cat.

I have worked in the printing and advertising industries for the past 30 years, with the last 13 years spent at Print House as a graphic designer/pre-press operator.

Weaving is my primary fibre passion, although I also enjoy spinning and felting. I use PCW Fibreworks software to design some of my own weaving drafts and enjoy the flexibility and creativity it allows me in my weaving. The unique results of dyeing and painting yarns for weaving excite me and I am particularly attracted to fine weaves. I have enjoyed dyeing Tencel, silk, cotton, wool and my own alpaca and mohair to create unique pieces. Dolly, a dressmaker’s model, inspires me to create one-off designs with woven and felted fabrics.
